Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team in Georgia. This is an on-site position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations and gain valuable experience in a professional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and demonstrate proficiency in handling various financial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting guidelines.
• Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Review financial transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
• Analyze financial data and provide reporting support to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related inquiries and improve processes.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or business environment.
• Intermediate Excel Experience (Pivot Tables & Vlookups) required.
• ERP System experience required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume business environment preferred.

Additional Details

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
